RNC Votes to Approve Regulation Freedom

RNC Votes To Support the Regulation Freedom Amendment to Curb Federal Regulators!
This morning the Republican National Committee, meeting in Hollywood Florida, unanimously passed a Resolution authored by National Committee woman Melody Potter of West Virginia in support of the Regulation Freedom Amendment to require that Congress approve major new federal regulations before they can take effect.

The RNC joins Presidential candidate Ted Cruz who has formally endorsed the Regulation Freedom Amendment and  Presidential candidate John Kasich who praised the Amendment  at an RNC reception on Wednesday telling us "I'm for it!"

More than 900 state legislators and 5 governors also support the Regulation Freedom Amendment.  19 state legislative chambers have passed Resolutions urging Congress to propose it.

Just as states originally helped force Congress to propose the Bill of Rights, and more recently the 22nd Amendment for presidential term limits, 2/3 of the states backed by what polls show is 2-1 support for the Amendment from voters could potentially force Congress to propose the Amendment by 2017.

The text of the Regulation Freedom Amendment is as follows:

The Regulation Freedom Amendment

"Whenever one quarter of the Members of the U.S. House or the U.S. Senate transmit to the President their written declaration of opposition to a proposed federal regulation, it shall require a majority vote of the House and Senate to adopt that regulation."
